Privacy policy

This policy explains which personal data we process when you contact us or make an enquiry through this website, why we do it, and what your rights are.

1.Data controller

B&B Karin Seegardel (REPS – Rider Equine Performance System)
Skads Byvej 26
6705 Esbjerg, Denmark
CVR 46450094

Email: karin@seegardel.com
Phone: +45 28 56 15 97

2.What data we collect

When you use the enquiry form, we process the information you enter yourself:

The form does not store anything on this website. When you press send, your own email app opens with the message filled in, and the information only reaches us when you send that email to karin@seegardel.com.

If you contact us directly by phone, email or WhatsApp, or book a stay, we process the information you give us in that context (for B&B bookings, for example, your name, contact details, dates and number of guests). Please do not send sensitive data (such as health information) via the form.

3.Purpose

We use your data to answer your enquiry, to plan and deliver coaching, retreats and B&B stays you ask about or book, and for the related communication. We do not use it for marketing or newsletters, and we never sell your data.

4.Legal basis

5.Retention

We keep your enquiry for as long as needed to handle it. If it does not lead to a booking or agreement, we delete it no later than 12 months after our last contact. If it does, we keep the data for as long as the booking or coaching relationship lasts, and accounting records (e.g. invoices) are kept for 5 years from the end of the financial year, as required by Danish law.

6.Recipients and processors

Your data is processed only by us. We use standard IT providers (email and web hosting) who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions. If you choose to book through Booking.com or to message us on WhatsApp, those services process your data under their own privacy policies. No data is sent to them unless you click those links.

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA), which runs the servers. When you visit the site, Vercel processes your IP address and browser information in short-lived server logs for technical reasons. This is necessary to deliver the site securely and prevent abuse (our legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and transfers to the USA are also covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not use these logs to identify you.

7.Cookies and tracking

This website uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser (such as localStorage). We use no analytics or statistics tools, no tracking, no advertising or social media pixels and no embedded third-party content. Fonts, scripts and images are served from this website itself, not from external services such as Google Fonts. That is why there is no cookie banner.

8.Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:

To use your rights, contact us (see section 1). We will reply as soon as possible and no later than within one month.

9.Complaints

You can lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet):

Datatilsynet

If you live in another EU/EEA country, you can also complain to the data protection authority there. We would appreciate it if you contacted us first so we can try to resolve the matter.

10.Changes

We will update this policy if we change how we process personal data. The current version is always available on this page.
